On the left is a photo of Microsoft's Steve Ballmer, who is such a handsome, dignified and brilliant fellow that we all agree that he deserves his obscene high pay. It's the obscene high pay of those other guys that we protest. The New York Times has published a special report on executive compensation. I've only skimmed the contents page, but I respectfully intuit that the facts have been reported with the NYT's usual cool neutrality.
